America’s leading sociologist on climate change is likely Riley E Dunlap of Oklahoma State University. Dunlap has done fantastic work tracking the trends of climate denial across America and across the Atlantic. He’s just published a chapter in The Oxford Handbook of Climate Change & Society titled “Organized Climate-Change Denial,” and it’s arguably the best synopsis of the denial machine in America currently available. If you’ve got a spare $138.00, you can buy the book online at Amazon or use the Google link to browse – the chapter starts at page 146. The short story is in this one graphic.
